We are happy to inform you that GIC is organizing two days event : PatenTrack on 18th & 19th April 2014 (Friday & Saturday) @ ACPC Building, Ahmedabad

This two days competition is for pre-final, final year and PG students. Such event will be dedicated to specific technical fields/branches (Different branches of Engineering, pharmacy & MCA). In this event participants have to study patents related to specific company/technology in a defined group (team), and represent their finding by way of making presentation in front of other participants and jury on second day.

First such event is organised for following branches: Computer Engineering, Information Technology & MCA.

What to study by each group, about the patents of specific company?

a.    Company Profile, Area of business & monopoly? (1-2 Slide)

b.    No of patents hold by each company

c.    Key products/technology they have developed first and protected by patent

d.    Key patents

e.    Key innovators

f.     Any other interesting facts about patent of that company.

g.    Future products and services based on latest patents

h.    New inventions,

i.      Overcome on limitations,

j.      Competitors tracking, etc.

For this event we are inviting participants from various colleges (Max 40 participants). We will divide the participants in 8 teams and ask them for study of patents from following specific companies: Google, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, IBM, Intel, Nokia and Cisco

 

Screening of 40 participants for this event, from the registration will be done by GIC. And we are trying to cover participants from maximum different colleges. Intimation of finalized candidates after screening will be communicated to selected students on 15.04.2014. 

Please circulate this information to your students and faculty from following branches: Computer Engineering, Information Technology & MCA.
